R. Darrell Weaver
R. Darrell Weaver took the position of CEO for Big Brothers Big Sisters in November 2015. He is the third CEO of the organization since it merged as a statewide agency in 2009. Weaver holds a Bachelor’s in accounting from Cameron University and a Masters of Business Administration from Oklahoma Christian University.
Darrell’s background in law enforcement gives him a unique perspective on mentoring our most vulnerable populations. Darrell served at the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics for 28 years and as the director for 9 years and had several other assignments throughout the state before that. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy 199th session and the Senior Management Institute for Police 55th session. In 2011, he was awarded an honorary Doctor of Pharmacy. He is an Alumnus of the Leadership Oklahoma Class XXIII, Leadership OKC Class XXVIIII, 2013 Leadership Moore Class, Leadership Tulsa Class 54 and the 2011 Tinker Air Force Base COMMStar Program and the Salt and Light Leadership Training program. He was the 2010 State Charitable Campaign Chairman for United Way, a 2014 inductee into the Oklahoma Law Enforcement Hall of Fame, and is a former governing board member for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma.
Darrell is a newlywed and father to 5. Darrell is a self-professed ‘juicer’ and enjoys physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle.
